Rules & Regulations

  • Every student should carry his/her almanac to school every day and wear his/her identity card.
  • Students, who come to school on their own should arrive at School before the bell rings (five minutes before the Home room period). If the child does not arrive at the given time, then the child will strictly be sent back home.
  • The morning bell before a class or assembly is a signal for all to go to the assembly or to their respective classrooms. This should be done promptly and silently.
  • Students should be in proper & neat uniform. Students who are slovenly dressed or not in proper uniform will be sent home.
  • Running in the corridors is strictly prohibited.
  • Care must be taken of all the school property and no student should scratch or spoil the desks or charts or damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls or on any school furniture or in any way damage things belonging to others. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher or to the Principal/ Vice Principal/ Head Mistress/ Co-ordinators. Any damage done will be made good by the one who does it together with a fine imposed on him/her for such an offence.
  • Eating of Chewing gums is strictly prohibited in the school. The students violating this rule will be severely punished.
  • No books (other than text books or library books), magazines or papers should be brought to the school without the permission of the class teacher.
  • Lending or borrowing of money and other articles is not permitted. Lending of cash/eatables/mobile phones by Day scholars to Boarders is a punishable offence.
  • The school is not responsible for the goods lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles (like expensive watches or fountain pens) to school.
  • Students, who come to school in the care of attendants, should never leave before the escort arrives. In case of delay, they should report to the school office. It is mandatory for the escorts to carry the authority letter everyday.
  • The school reserves the right to suspend students whose progress in studies is unsatisfactory or whose conduct is a bad precept for others.
  • Parents and guardians must not visit their wards or the teachers in the class rooms without the permission of the Principal/ Vice Principal/ Head Mistress/Co- ordinators.
  • The name, class and section of the pupil should be clearly marked on all belongings of the students.
  • Latecomers, Uniform Defaulters and children who do not do their Home Work regularly will be given red and yellow cards.
  • Students are not allowed to use the school telephone without the permission of the Principal/ Vice Principal/ Head Mistress/ Co-ordinators. They will not be called to answer phone calls during the class hours.
  • Office Bearers will wear their respective badges daily.
  • Birthdays are auspicious and important days and some of you may like your child to celebrate with his/her classmates. Even if you desire so, please do not send more than one /two eclairs per student of that class. Kindly avoid big chocolates and cakes.
  • Students are not allowed to carry mobile phones or any electronic gadget to the school. Stern action will be taken against students violating this rule.
  • Students must ensure that they carry the Class-Pass whenever they are required to move out of the classrooms.
  • When students move along the corridors, or when they go up or come down the stairs, as when changing class or during the recess, they must walk in perfect silence and in a single line. They should always keep to the left except when several classes are moving simultaneously.
  • Students should take an honest pride in keeping the school premises clean, great care must be taken not to litter the campus with lunch scraps, fruit peel, scrap papers, toffee wrappers, polythene bags, etc. They should use the bins specially placed for the purpose.
  • Repeated absence without leave, or unexplained absence of more than 5 days renders the student’s name to be struck off the rolls. No leave of absence is granted except on previously written application forms provided in the almanac & signed by parents/guardians and that too for very genuine reason. For leave of absence for more than 3 days in case of illness, an application along with the medical certificate must also be sent. Absence without leave inevitably invites disciplinary action at the discretion of the Principal.
  •  If a student absents himself/herself for more than 25% of total working days in a year, he/she won’t be eligible for promotion to the next class.
  • Promotion of students from one standard to another will be made at the end of the academic year on the basis of the year’s record of work along with the average of the marks secured in various exams held during the whole year. Regular attendance and steady work, therefore, will be the conditions for promotion.
  • The results declared at the end of the year are final and will not be reconsidered.
  • Any use of unfair means and/ or receiving or giving assistance in any form during a Test or an Examination (detected during or subsequently) or tempering with the evaluated answer papers in any way, or altering the report card, will be punishable at the discretion of the school authorities. Any student detected using any unfair means will be debarred from continuing the examination and all his/her examinations of the concerned term will be cancelled. In serious and repeated cases, the student will be asked to leave the school altogether.
  • No re-test/ re-examination is held for a student who fails to appear for the test/ examination. Such an absence without a grave reason and without the approval of the Principal implies failure.
  • Conversing in English is must. Students violating this rule will face suspension from classes.
